Dahlia

Rawki did not appreciate going for a swim- no, not at all. In fact, she was so upset she nearly drowned Dahlia by violently jumping on her head during their travel across the water, in which the white woman had let out a string of profanity in Gælic. But, as the large wolf clambered onto the bank, her irritation was soon forgotten as eyes fell upon the vast fields of cat tails. They were beautiful, and crinkled and crackled as they rubbed against eachother, the noises like music.... Shhhh, shhh- shhh..... Dahlia smiled, content at what she had found. It was lovely, so lovely in fact she hadnt even noticed the lotus flower that had decided to come with her out of the water, right on her rump. As she began to move forward, it fell off to the side, causing the cat tails to protest. The Irish lass turned her head to the sound, seeing the white, pink tipped flower, and picked it up in her mouth- where it was quickly snatched by the chinchilla on her neck, the furry grey critter placing it on Dahlia's head like an old fashioned hat. Dahl chuckled, her tail stub wagging."Your a goofball, Rawki."

The island was a place he hadn't quite imagined, there was something about being liberated from the confines of the woods that felt freeing and rejuvenated him. At the same time the double edged sword of being a harbinger had caught up with him, and unlike many of his unknown brethren, his identity had been revealed. He tread so carefully, quietly hoping to avoid contact with anyone else for the fear that had been renewed in the primitive dungeons of the city. Still in the dark he smelled the moistened earth, the dew dripping from the ceiling and felt the phantom press of a craggy wall against his shoulder. At the edge of the water he'd been there just in time to have missed her exit, and he was far away enough that he heard not any commotion from nearby. Instead at the water's edge his ocherous gaze turned upon the waters and waited for the movement that lurked beneath, watching the movements of the fish as his body tensed, lowering towards the water with his jaws hanging open just above the surface, waiting for that moment in which he could plunge forward and catch his dinner.

Dahlia

The lady dressed in velvet kept the lotus on her head, adopting a walk that mocked a fancy noblewoman, strutting to attract the eyes of some rich man. Chuckling to herself, Dahlia turned up her head, seeing Rawki chewing on some sort of plant. "You've right idea, lil lass. I'll need to find sum' to eat as well." she stated, as her stomach also reminded her. Sniffing the air, all she got was earthy tones, moist soil and well... Water. Easiest prey to find would be fish.

So the pale coat rack picked her way back where she came, as a meal was due before she ventured any farther, risking going hungry the entire time. As she reached the edge, her eyes fell upon another male, one who shared her pale base pelt. She yipped, low and cheerily, letting him know she was there, and wasnt interested in a fight. "Well hi there, lad. Seems ye and I shared the same thought. What a lovely day for meeting new wolves, eh?" the Irish woman smiled.

There they went swimming around his toes and he could feel the seconds moving by rapidly. Every moment the larger and more desirable fish lost their fear and would creep in closer, racing towards the edge and back away into the darkness. Gaping jaws tensed for a moment, his eyes simultaneously catching sight of a large fish drawing near and of someone approaching. He was hungry though and he could not let himself starve, instead before her words even slipped from her jaws and before he had a chance to feel the fear push him to flight, he plunged forward and speared a large trout between his jaws, coming up once more with water trailing from every corner of his soaked face and his hairs standing on end, clumping together in little soaked peaks.

He didn't know what it was about her that he found strange, or perhaps just different, though as his heart raced within his chest he didn't feel fear. Slowly his body rose out of the water and he pinned the fish beneath his paw on the dry land, feeling the occasional squirm causing it to slide about under his foot, but there was no fear of it escaping. "You don't seem to wander the woods with much fear. Are you in the order?" The question was strangely direct, but he wondered if she even understood how serious an offense it could be for a commoner to be found outside of the city's walls. The Order... no he could not trust them, could not trust anyone anymore it seemed.

Dahlia

Before answering, he dove his face into the water, and Dahlia watched, head cocked and tail stub wagging excitedly. She almost audibly 'ooo'd as he pulled out a fat trout, dropping and pinning it against the ground. The red and white woman looked up at him, "Wow! Ye are good at fishin." she said.
You don't seem to wander the woods with much fear. Are you in the order?
The question made her heart pulse oddly, and she took a step back before sitting back on her wet haunches. "No..." she said, head tilted a bit, eyes narrowed questioningly, "Are ye?" Dahlia asked. She was afraid, just a little. It had been rumored that those of the order could use a special item to reveal that in fact she was a harbinger, and then.... She was doomed. They were too large of a force, and she was too identifiable. There was no chance at her salvation after. The entire situation between harbingers and the order and the king... It made her head spin. She had lived such a sheltered life, away from those things.... But when she lost her sons, she started feeling to pull. The pull to go here or there, and often times the commands hurt her head, being told to go this way and that. She was helpless to their will, the beings who told her what to do.
